For most of my life, I was afraid of being seen, making mistakes, of being put on the spot, of not getting it right. If I had to present, I needed a lot of time to prepare, rehearsing over and over again and would get flustered and feel humiliated if I had to do something on the fly. This kept me small, only doing what I knew how to do well, things that felt safe. 

That fear really peaked during my coaching program in grad school, when I had to coach people live, on Zoom, in front of my classmates while receiving real-time feedback. My mind would freeze. Trying to coach while processing corrections at the same time felt overwhelming, and I could feel the tears that were about to burst out. It was so anxiety provoking that I hired my own coach just to get through the program.

As horrible as that experience was, it taught me to get over myself and embrace my dreams. To go for what I really want, to reach for what I do best, even when I don’t know how to do it yet. Over this last year, I’ve shown up for all the opportunities that life has blessed me with. I’ve grown and reached and done it all in front of many of you, a live audience who I love working with and with whom I feel excited to share my passion. Now instead of freezing, it feels good and I hope it makes you feel good too!


What really keeps me going is when people share how something has helped them or shifted their perspective. It brings me so much joy and I can't wait to say yes to what’s next.

And if you’ve been feeling like there is more for you out there, but have been hesitant about taking the first step, it’s okay to try something new, even if it’s messy at first. More than ever the world needs your sparkle. Go for it!!!❤️

Practice at Home:

In all my classes, I’ve been teaching this quick energy boost from Donna Eden. She calls it the Hook-Up, because it connects the body's Governing and Central meridians, energy channels that run through the mid-line of our front and back body. When connected and flowing smoothly these energy channels restore calm the to nervous system, improve focus, and reduce stress. I feel the difference immediately!

To do the Hook-up, breathe in deeply through your nose and out through your mouth (time—15 to 20 seconds.)

1. Place the middle finger of one hand on your third eye (between your eyebrows above the bridge of your nose).

2. Place the middle finger of the other hand in your belly button.

3. Gently press each finger into your skin, pull it upward, and hold for 15-20 seconds. Often a spontaneous sigh or deep breath signals that the energies have hooked up.
