Where are YOU on today's to-do list?
"We need to do a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own 'to-do' list."
— Michelle Obama
As the seasons shift and Fall begins, many of us are starting to feel the pressure build as our days are filled with tasks, responsibilities, and commitments. Work, school, and social engagements show up on the calendar and our personal time fades away. As an introverted people-pleaser, this time of year has always been fun, but stressful, leaving me so drained and dragging myself to the next event. But, here’s what I learned: your to-do list doesn’t just shape your schedule, it impacts your health.
When we constantly overfill our days, we create hidden pressure that shows up as stress, tension, disrupted sleep, or even burnout. Many of the items on our lists aren’t even ours to carry, they are “shoulds” driven by expectations from work, family, or social pressure to keep up. And sometimes, others don’t even expect as much as we think they do. Sometimes we have patterns of giving that drain us, but are not necessary.
The result? We move through life reacting instead of choosing, feeling out of control instead of intentional.
Taking control of your health isn’t only about food or exercise, it’s about aligning your daily actions with what actually matters to you. When your to-do list reflects your true priorities, you reduce stress and live with more purpose. Your body and mind feel more at ease as your life flows with it’s natural rhythm and balance.
Do something lovely for yourself this Fall!

Practice at Home:
Take a moment to look at your list today. Ask yourself:
Do I actually want to do this?
Is this task moving me closer to the life I want?
Am I doing this out of obligation or true choice?
Even one shift in your daily tasks can release pressure and create space for your well-being.
